My Parents
Father, Late Shri Ishwar Chandra Thakur was a large hearted personality who Dr Rajiv feels was quite instrumental in shaping his career and guided him to some serious studies. His father was in Bihar Administrative Services and retired as Jt. Secretary in Govt. of Bihar. An upright and honest officer was always popular in the society for his developmental work and his sensitivity towards the welfare of common man. In his professional career, he held many important portfolios in Cabinet Secretariat, Bihar Public Service Commission, as ADM and SDM and also was posted in places like Patna, Bhagalpur, Jamui, Ranchi, Giridih, Deogarh, Samastipur and Palamu. He is fondly remembered by his near and dear ones even after he left for heavenly abode in 2008.
Mother, Smt Godavari Thakur is a lovable lady with a bigger contribution in rearing the family as a perfect home maker. She belongs to Pakaria Village in Uda Kishunganj Subdivision of Madhepura District in North Bihar and is the eldest daughter of parents. She had a significant role in grooming Dr Thakur since his birth.
Parents In Law; Dr Rajiv Feels lucky to have the love and affection of his parents in law, Late Shri Sati Kant Mishra and Smt. Bhawani Mishra who always showered love and blessings like their own son. Both settled in Patna had a satisfying life journey, Ritu being youngest daughter of their five children.
